PRO-Keds Men's Royal Lo Classic Canvas Sneaker

Another one of my favs, these PRO-Keds reminds me of my early adulthood.

The story of the birth of PRO-Keds is an interesting one. It was in 1949 that PRO-Keds were introduced by George Mikan also known as "Mr. Basketball and basketball's original "Big Man".

Mikan played in the National Basketball League (NBL), as well as the Basketball Association of America (BAA) and the National Basketball Association (NBA) leagues. He was one of the first athletes to endorse the sneakers.

In the 70s and 8O's, Nate 'Tiny' Archibald, Jo Jo White, Joe Theismann, 'Pistol' Pete Maravich and Johnny Bench also helped popularize the brand.
