Let's be real. Cargo shorts are practical, especially for men who travel, hike, explore. They are comfortable, but most of all they are like a mobile storage unit. If you're a travel writer or a blogger on the move then cargo shorts should be in you carry on or backpack.

Let's be honest, when you're on the road you will need somewhere to store your gadgets and other essentials that you use all the time. Those extra and deep pockets are ideal for that. I know what you're thinking. Why don't you store those items in you backpack? Right. Well, have you ever seen a backpack that looks empty? Just saying.

I love cargo shorts, they're especially useful when you're on a cruise or spending the day exploring locations in the Caribbean or Europe. They are ideal when you're out having cocktails around the pool or if you're spending the evening strolling on the beach.

When we travel, I normally include about three cargo shorts in my luggage. I actually carry about the same amount of jeans, but use my cargo shorts more. For crying out loud, who wants to be in jeans or slacks during summer in Spain or in Barbados, Bahamas, St Maarten or Florida.
